I have used handbrake to rip some T.V. shows (Trailer Park Boys) off a DVD. When I program it for T.V. Show it doesn't show up on my iPod. I went to the apple support site and it says T.V. shows that you rip will not go on your iPod but if you switch it to Movie it works. Is there a hack to get around this?
there are no "hacks" for the ipod firmware as it's heavily encrypted. I would look on a different, more nerdy, forum for help with getting around that one as most of the users here are not exceedingly good with hacking...

Once you have your video in a file format that the iPod will use, look for an application called "Lostify". It will add the necessary metadata fields to the file so that you can specify that the "movie" file is actually a "tv show". It's in it's early stages as an app but has worked okay in the few tests I've done with it.
"Lostify" is the name given to signify that the files will act just like the tv show files "Lost" that Apple sells in the store.
