iPod 20 Gb Track pad problems.

The trackpad of my iPod doesn’t work. I tried to reset it and restore it. Nothing works.

Before I send it to repair, I want to know if there’s any other way.

wait a minute int he corner does it show that the hold switch is on EVEN IF ITS NOT sometimes the hold switch gets stuck or the contact doesnt make a full connection and it stays in hold with out you knowing just play with the hold switch a little jiggle it around see if that changes anything!

I know Neblim personally and he just told me right now that he can play with the buttons : play/pause, next, previous, menu, but CAN'T play with the trackpad. I guess that his trackpad is dead. Thoughts? And yeah, how can he see if he's still under warranty.
