My iBook G4 (14") is about a year old and the battery does not hold even 1 hour of charge. I picked it up last fall at Carbon on Queen east of Broadview
Is this normal and it's time to purchase a new battery. If so, any suggestions - Apple.ca and Carbon has them for $159-.
If this is not normal, any suggestion on what to fix or how to pursue warrenty?
If you've done a PRAM reset (command-option-P-R) then it's time for a new battery. You might want to confirm the warranty status of your iBook before you shell out some cash just in case the iBook still has some warranty coverage left on it.

I work on the dark side because the pay is better than what I could get the Apple world. Sad but true
Batteries aren't covered after 6 months no matter what the issue, regardless if you have extended AppleCare warranty. You'll have to buy a replacement.

Thanks in advance for any input!
Thanks for people's input - indeed it was time to get a new battery - my question was surrounding warrenty.
The fine people at Carbon Computing (Queen & Broadview, Toronto) set me up with a new battery under warrenty.
