Question Hide External Volume Icons in Panther.

Quick Panther Question.

How do you hide external drives from the desktop?

I have all of the internal volumes hidden but I don't see how to do this with the firewire drives.

I just upgraded (for the 4th time) from Jaguar.
I like to have aliases for my 4 external drives always present on the desktop because I am used to their location. If I can't hide the actual volume icon from mounting then they just pop up in the first available place on my desktop. This is very inconvenient.

Thanks for any help.

Ryan
