Ipod Nano Screen: Half is all white!

Half of my white 4GB iPod Nano's screen is white (the bottom half) and has a messed up broken little line running through the middle of it.

What has happened and how do i fix it?

uhhh i would guess it got a crack did you drop it or did it come like that outta the box if it was like that outta the box u might wanna take it to the nearest mac dealer or look into replaing it some how :s

Call Apple and they'll replace your unit, assuming the damage wasn't user-abuse.

it did not come like this out of the box.

i didnt realise that THIS was the problem; i thought that the problem was the nanos easily scratches screen.
