Titanium as Mini keyboard/monitor

My 550 Titanium is limited due to a drive (CD DVD reader)that does not function and a battery that is old and useless. I use it as a desktop computer with a few peripherals. I would love to get Tiger and have a faster computer and thought to cut corners I could possibly get a mini and have it attached to the the titanium thereby using the titanium for its keyborad and lcd. However feeble and cheap this might sound I was wondering if anybody could shed some light on whether it would even work...and if how?

No possible way it would work unless you seriously know soldering and the schematic layout of a mac motherboard.

Tried it for a customer once. Didn't work. I'd get a Mac Mini.
