My wireless network just dissapeared!

All of a sudden, my Linksys wireless network is gone.

The modem is working, the router says that it has power/WLAN/Internet, but my network is not there.

Is there anything i can do to troubleshoot this?

Thanks

First question: Have you tried rebooting the router?
Second question: Can wired computers surf?

If the answer to #1 and #2 is yes, then I would try resetting your router back to factory defauts and see if the wireless end works. If so, then I would set it up with whatever security you had on it and see if it works after that.

If that doesn't work, perhaps you have a dying router....

One thing you can do is download MacStumbler - this will tell you if any wireless signals are in range, even if you can't connect to them, and it scans constantly.

Remove sources of interference such as cordless telephones.

Change wireless channel # on the router or computer - there are 11 different channels. The computer should be able to auto-detect a network on any channel.

Change router settings between "b", "g" or "b and g" for 802.11 protocol type.

Remove all computers from the network except your most trusted one. In some cases, misbehaving computers can mess things up for the others.
