Apple works - Rotate text?

I'm trying to use apple works to make up a advertisement for some things I'm selling. You know the Type "Dell Computer, Super Fast 50$ obo"

The problem Im having is that I can't seem to set my text Verticaly. Any idea how I do this in the newest version of apple works?

Your best bet is to do the layout in Draw mode. Create a narrow text box, select your font and font size, press return after each letter if you are trying to do something like this:

D
E
L
L

Draw mode will give you lots of options for moving text boxes around, overlapping over graphics, etc.

To do what you are doing in Appleworks, first question is what kind of document you're creating.

For a 1-page 'for sale' flyer, I would be using the 'Drawing' mode. If you're in 'drawing' mode, then text is treated as any other object. You just click on the text to select it, then under Arrange there are various rotate options.

If you're using the 'word processing' mode, I am not sure if you can rotate just some text; you might have to rotate everything (i.e. go to landscape mode).

But the 'drawing' mode is pretty good at this kind of thing.

Much easier way: create a text box. enter text. rotate text box.
