Psync alternatives in Tiger?

are there any? i'd like to sync my clone rather than clone my entire system over every time. i'm starting to get lazy with the backups on my home machine because its become such a P.I.T.A. under Tiger.

What is the issue you are having with psync? It should do incremental backups no prob. If not, there is the *nix utility 'rsync', (actually there is a GUI for it called 'RsyncX', which should help). However, for backups, I recommend a more 'backup-oriented' software', such as DejaVu, SuperDuper, SilverKeeper, etc. I use DejaVu myself, and it works like a charm (a full bootable backup, but incrementally updated).

i keep getting an error that psync isn't supported under 10.4

i prefer making a bootable clone with CCC (actually, i used psyncx, but that doesn't seem to work under tiger either), and syncing it to keep the update times minimal.

i'll look into rsyncx, thanks.

That is rather interesting. I use psync under 10.4 just fine. What version of psync/where did you download it?
