I just discovered Iconic and it's quite good at what it does:
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/16841
Drag a picture file from the desktop and the program spits out an ICNS file. Open that file in preview, copy the 128 x 128 and paste it on a generic icon to customize the look.
Two questions:
1) I'm wondering if customized folders are more prone to corruption/data loss/issues? Finder seems slower after I applied an Iconic icon.
2) I've noticed that I can create a PNG photo in Photoshop and grab (cut & paste) the PNG file icon to customize another file (such as a folder.) Is this a better way?
Thanks.
