The funniest thing happened... Was looking @ this email full of attachments and when i tried to fwd it off to the editor, It froze. I thought... Pls don't tell me... When I went to check the size of my DB... 1.99 GB ---> is that not the limit?? Looks like it.
Anyhow, ENT is trying to tell me that the DB is can't be saved, even when I try to rebuild the DB. is that true?? I think that I've been there before, and found a work around, just can't recall.
Thanks ahead of time.

Hold down the option key on start up of ENT - you need to have all MS apps closed.

The backup may well work if it was done prior to the problem but do a copy of that as well.
You might have to try importing the messages via Mail or another app.

Looks like I'm screwed. b/u not working... I've just spent a few hours thinking about this. So I Can import the messages via Mail?? What other app can i use?? How much of it can I recover?? And is this officially done? No chance of getting any of this data back? I'm running ENT.X, so does ENT.2004 handle this any better??

Just experiment with importing on a copy of the file.
You are fortunate in that it did not wipe the database file.
If you have an older drive with a backup that would be best - but no harm in trying the import.
If it's critical we could take a crack at it but I suspect it should import okay.

Yea.... Thanks for the notes. I am taking my time in trying to get this done right. Will get a DVD to get a copy of the DB. Might try to u/g to ENT 2004 as it seems to have a sep Rebuild utility. I will then try Eudora, then Mail. (pretty much the order of pref).
Surprised that this is such an issue. 2G is quite a bit of data though, and I should have been more vigilant. I need to attach a script to that file somehow... like a warning.

You just need to duplicate the file on the desktop for backup/testing attempts.
I'd try mail first - it's pretty solid and busts the messages up into individual mboxes so if there is a corrupt on you can deal with it.
