Target Disk mode

I was wondering with the target diskmode, what manner of connection is required? (Either net, Usb?), and is it possible to pop an Ibook into target diskmode, connect up to a windows manchine (the Dell perhaps) and unload files that way?

Firewire and Mac to Mac only. It also depends on how old your hardware is I believe. Not sure.. anyone with older machines would likely know.

Your Mac requires a FireWire port to go into FWTDM. 6-pin to 6-pin FireWire cable to connec the two Macs together. The one in FWTDM will mount as an external hard drive on the Mac it's connected to.
