rev. B imac 20" burning discs at 2x only!
I've got an iMac G5 2.0 ghz with an 8x dual layer superdrive, yet when I'm using 8x DVD-R media, both iDVD and the Burn utility are only burning at 2x. The same discs in my iMac G4 with 4x drive are burning at 4x just fine.
The discs I'm using are Taiyo Yuden 8x DVD-R.
Does this sound like a superdrive hardware issue, or are the new drives just more picky about what brand of media you use?
