Red face Entourage all messed up after 10.1.6 update

Recently, entourage started quitting immediately after starting up so I rebuilt the database, deleted preferences, and then finally noticed a security update at Mactopia which at least stopped the quitting problem.

Since installing that, my hotmail messages are taken from the hotmail inbox and put into the inbox under On My Computer - and somehow, a couple of messages from my ISP/IMAP account got into my hotmail inbox.
This is extremely annoying. Deleting the cache just moved all my hotmail messages to the server's trash. The help contents distinctly say that hotmail messages will remain in the hotmail inbox and make no mention of what to do if that fails.

Should I delete Entourage completely and install it again? That would entail installing various general Office updates which i kind of want to avoid.
Any other ideas??

Yeah.. consider updating your OS. Laying newer software over a dated OS is a recipe for hassle.

The update is for office v. X which is what I have and the OS is 10.1.5. which, while dated, was running entourage fine until 5 days ago.
