Safari colour space management

Many pictures I see look very strange in Safari. So I went to the apple support page for Safari to see if anyone else was experiencing the same problem.

I discovered this post which describes the way Safari handles tagged and untagged jpegs with Apple RGB, Adobe RGB, and sRGB color spaces - gballard goes on to describe how Safari handles embedded profiles in JPEGs and actual web pages.

He provides a link to his web site that shows the problem I sometimes experience when surfing the net with Safari ( on example 5)

So, is this something I have to live with or, is there something I can do to make sure that jpgs look normal when I view them using Safari?
Thanks
