Removing Stuffit Menu?

I recently installed Stuffit Delux 8, and haven't for the life of me been able to figure out how to disable the Stuffit menu that sits next to my clock. I don't really need it, as I can use contextual menu's for stuffing and unstuffing things.

There doesn't appear to be a way to toggle it on and off in the preferences, and even if I de-select all of the available options, the menu still sits there.

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this thing?

Easy. Press and hold the "command key" and click and drag the icon off the menu bar and let go of the mouse button. Poof.... all gone!

System Preference --> Accounts
Click on your accounts Startup Items, highlight "Magic Menu", then press the "-" sign below the list.

Thanks!

Happy to help.
You can also rearrange the icons on the menu bar in a similar way. Just command click the icon and drag it into the position you want and then release the mouse button.

Using the 'command' key trick on my G5, only works with the Apple menu bar icons. I can't move, or drag off the MagicMenu icon, same with a 3rd party calendar icon. Just me?

gwillikers..... no it's not you. Here is info on this subject taken from Objectparks' FAQ Help section. This should also apply for MagicMenu too.

Q: Why can Menu Calendar's menu icon not be moved like Apple's?
A: Apple does not allow 3rd party developers to make movable menu items. The available "Status Items" are not moveable and the moveable "Menu Extras" are not available (no public API). There are ways to hack into Cocoa to create a "Menu Extra" but we to not think that's the way to go.
*
Please provide feedback to Apple using the Customer feedback web page and tell them that you want NSStatusItems (like Menu Calendar) to be moveable.
