Good day folks, first time poster in the forums...

This evening, I went about updating my 3G iPod with some new songs. For some reason after the update was complete, in the "About" section of the iPod, it showed the space (5.6 GB) taken up by the 1400+ songs currently stored in iTunes, it also showed the available space left, however at the very top where it says "songs", a big fat 0 was listed.

Anybody have any idea what I can do to solve this? I have restored the iPod, however when I go into iTunes, it isn't loading the 1400+ songs back onto the iPod.

So despite having 1400+ songs in iTunes, I am unable to load anything onto my iPod. Software is up-to-date (Ver 2.3)...

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Had the same problem happened with my 4th gen. iPod. last week... I could still access my files with the iPod as a hard drive, but the iPod wouldn't show any songs, and wouldn't come up in iTunes: I had 14GB of songs on it. I did a complete restore, and everything is back up now...

You wrote "when I go into iTunes, it isn't loading the 1400+ songs back onto the iPod." Did you re-configure the iPod in iTunes along with the automatic updates of your selected playlists?
