I read somewhere that with recent Macs the first startup offers an option to transfer accounts and files from your old Mac to the new one.
Can anyone advise what choices you have in the process?
My wife and teenage daughter share our eMac, and with my wife's increasing workload it just isn't working. I considered hiring Bill Clinton as a peace broker, but thing have gone to far. We are on the brink.....
We have an old monitor and keyboard, so it looks like Mini time.
I would want to transfer just my wife's stuff to the new machine. This is basically her iTunes, iPhoto library and her Docs. Her Safari bookmarks are fine because they are on her .Mac account.
Would the setup assistant be the way to go, or should I just throw this stuff onto our FW drive, connect it to the Mini and then transfer over?
Thanks in advance.
