Backing up XBOX games

Is there an OSX app. (or setting in Toast) that you can use to make backup Xbox games from the originals?

If the answer is NO then is there an app. for windows that can?

Thanks.

If you want to backup an xbox game you first need a modchip installed, or a softmod. THEN you ftp to your xbox using Transmit or a similar program, and initiate the backup. I don't do this myself, so I forgot what the program name is, but go to:

www.xbox-scene.com

and take a look around. They have full tutorials on how to do everything on both a mac and a pc as well as links to all the software.

The program that you are looking for is called the Xbox Backup Toolkit by trackfive. It is an all-in-one solution that ftps into your Xbox, copies the files, repackages them in the appropriate format, and compresses if necessary. Obviously, because of what it does, this is not the kind of program that you will be able to find on versiontracker. In fact, even modding sites like xbox-scene.com no long link to it due to it's legality issues. But that is the name of it, and it is by far the easiest method of doing it.

And for the purposes of not having this tread locked, our discussion pertains only to the backup of owned games, as I do. Because when I am moving my Xbox back and forth (or when others borrow it) I really don't feel like having my $80 DVDs getting scratched and thrown around. Again.
