I installed a different ATI Rage Pro 128 AGP 16 mb video card
recently and have noticed that the colour has changed after a
second reboot to a yellowish tint.

How can I calibrate this back to a normal colour setting?

When I start up there is a yellowish desktop instead of the
normal grey one, I'm using a Mac to VGA converter on the Apple
15" monitor with my Sawtooth. (But that can't be the problem)

I have ATI's latest drivers installed as well, Ideas?

Dave

Go to Displays and select colour.

Recalibrate the colour that way.

I tried that first thing but it still won't recalibrate,
I still get a yellowish desktop.
I haven't zapped the PRAM yet, So I'll try that and see if it fixes it.

I'm also thinking that it might be an effect caused by the system
that I'm using, It's a Carbon Copy Clone of OSX 10.3.5 from my
eMac's backup bootable clone.

My thinking is that the system is a system for an eMac and not a
Sawtooth, But it's strange that it worked fine for awhile until I rebooted twice.

Anyone know if a CCC'd system can do that?

Maybe I should just bite the bullet and reinstall OSX 10.3 again.

If it's still no good after Skyhook's suggestion, then it could be a "cold" solder joint. The board could have had a weak solder point on it that came loose from heat expansion and then contraction on your first use. You may even be able to spot it.

I'm going to install all of the goodies I bought for the Sawtooth
tomorrow so I'll have a good hard look at the video card then.
(I'm hoping that it's not a cold solder joint problem)

Thanks for all the ideas.

I just installed all of the other things I wanted to install,
I reseated the video card and made sure that the VGA-Mac
adapter was on nice and snug.

I restarted the Sawtooth and now everything appears to be back
to normal, It works just fine, No more yellow tint.

Thanks for the input.
