i'm really befuddled by buying RAM for my g4 iMac. not only is it my first time buying mac ram, it is also my first time buying ram *period*. so i'm sort of paranoid because i don't want it to sizzle. at the same time, all the local places i've called have given me significantly higher prices than what i've seen online.
so, should i be buying ram online? i've checked the specs, so i'm almost 100% sure what specifications i need. does anyone have any trusted online sellers to recommend to me (preferably with no insane shipping costs from the US).
I'd stick with www.crucial.com (just follow the step by step pull down menues to get exactly what you need).
They have great prices right now, they do returns without ANY hassle, they ship so fast and without and weird border fees and they are the best RAM out there.
another vote for crucial.com - hassle free,, good service, excellent products.
