Question

Has anyone seen this or have a suggestion as to how I fix it? I have a B&W G3 that runs as a file server at my home office, I updated the OS to 10.3.6 yesterday and now I have no sound? I can adjust the volume but it will default itself back to mute...

Try trashing "com.apple.soundpref.plist" and see if that does anything.

Apparently you are not alone,
The only advice that I can give you is to try some of the
solutions outlined in this Apple Discussion thread:
