Hi folks,

I just bought a powermac for the folks and I wanna completely wipe out everything on the drive and do a fresh new install from the install disks. Also, the Hard Drive is partiioned into two volumes. How do I remove the partition?

Thanks,

-Heath-

Boot up off of the OS CD and, rather than installing, use disk utility to initialize the drive. THis, in turn, will rid you of any other partitions and give you one complete volume to reinstall a fresh OS.

To be competely 'wiped clean'. Select 'Erase' and then 'Options'. Somewhere in there is a 'write zeros' check box that does just that.
