Why is that even when I choose the 'Display Login Window as: List of Users", it's still the Name and Password option that shows up when I start my computer?

I left the "Automatically log in" UNchecked also.

I want the convenience of just clicking my picture and only having to type in a password. Plus, one other person uses the computer. I hate having to type in my name AND password everytiime I turn on my computer.

PLEASE HELP!

Hi
Did you check "enable fast user switching"?

Thats OK...I was just checking against the way mine is set up - I get the results you want, with exactly the same settings:

List of users is selected
and
fast user switching is selected.

Odd

Really not sure. I'll check around tonight when I have a spare minute. In the meantime, try repairing permissions, shutting down and restarting. Sometimes this fixes odd behavoir, but this seems more like a simple thing we are overlooking.

I'm using Mac OS X Panther.
I'll try repairing permissions, if that means what I think it means.
