I have Mail.app set to check my various accounts inc. Rogers. For some reason, I have to type in the Rogers account password several times a day (I check the "remember in keychain" box). I think the Rogers authentication server either times out or doesn't like the Mail.app. Most times its fine but its the only account that burps like this.
Lars, from what I recall about signing up you are given your primary acct password as the numbers from your billing info. It is an 8 digit number ( on your monthly receipt) which will be for your main acct which by using member services you are able to add up to 4 more accts which can be changed at your will and leisure. Your primary is the only one that cannot be altered for obvious reasons. Your id is basically your email address when you sign into the yahoo site and then their mail tab. They should have given that to you upon installation.

Mine has been doing that constantly for the last two weeks or so. It had stopped for about 4-5 months but reared it's ugly head again since it first appeared in the beginning of the year.
checking off the remember button does not help. Yesterday I went into prefs and input my various passwords again for my accts and so far all is clear. I'm sure it will surface again from Rogers end.
Rogers POP3 servers just stop responding on occasion... this is 'normal' and has been happening for years. If this happens, just try again in a few minutes or an hour and chances are it'll be working again. Presumably they cannot handle the load.
