Since my recent upgrades (to 10.34 and the latest security update), I've noticed that my internet connection has become intermittent. It works for a while and then drops. I have to restart the machine for it to work again. I've also noticed that an app called 'Mirror Agent' is hanging occasionally on log out.

Anybody else experiencing this problem and is there a workaround?

TIA

R.

I suspect that Mirror Agent is the cause of your woes,
You no doubt use it for iDisk.

If you do a search on Google for Mirror Agent you'll find a few
articles on MacFixit about the problems encountered using
Mirror Agent, So far there doesn't appear to be a fix, Just a work around.

P.S. Are you on dial up or Hi-Speed? (Just curious)

Macfixit mentions only this:

Mirror Agent article

What Apple support says:

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86749

If you aren't using iDisk then I'd suggest you disable it,
(Or manually configure it)
There doesn't appear to be any mention of it causing lost
connections to the Internet, Although the reports on the
problems are with OS X 10.3.3

You might want to try searching through the Apple forums or
starting a new thread on the problem there.

thanks for the input

I'm more troubled by the net connection drop than the Mirror Agent freeze on log out ... the MA freeze is intermittent, the net drop is a quantity of times per day.

Have already started a topic at Apple support. We'll see what pops up

Cheers,

R.
