We just purchased an iMac OS X and are finding it a challenge to find accounting software for Canadian business. Where can we find this software in Southern Ontario or on the internet? This will determine whether we keep this computer or not...Please help.

Just looked into this a couple of weeks ago.

Nothing for Mac from Simply, but a Canadian Mac version of QuickBooks exists. It's called "QuickBook Accounts for Mac". (Not to be confused with the American Mac version, which has a different name.)

It's on the pricey side. As I understand it, it's simply a repackaging of MYOB's Mac software, whick Intuit bought. No payroll functions, but mine included an offer to sign up with ADP's online payroll service.

It's available at CompuSmart, online from Intuit, and I believe I've seen it on Carbon's website.

Probably a good thing; MYOB made the best Canadian-specific-Mac accounting software anyway.

Take a look at Simply Accounting and Quickbooks. I'm pretty sure they both offer a CDN OS X version of their software.
