I'm using 10.2.6 at the moment and have determined that
my Macsense 10/100 PCI card was causing my Mac to
develop errors, So now I've disabled it.

Macsense only has a driver up to 10.2, So I'm pretty sure
that using it in 10.2.6 is what caused a lot of corruption
with my network, It's only a guess, But I lost a partition
right after I installed the driver for the Macsense PCI card.

Also I upgraded my iTunes as well to 4.5, I wonder if that
could have screwed up somehow, I'm leaving my original
untouched since I reinstalled 10.2.6 now anyways.

Anyone using 10.2.8 on a Beige without any problems?

Dave (Who's afraid of red eh?)

I've got two beiges running 10.2.8 with no problems, a G3/300 tower (see sig) and a G3/266 desktop. Works great (also has iTunes 4.5 btw)

Our Beige G3 366 MHz was also running Mac OS X v10.2.8 without issue.

I think I'm going to leave it as it is at moment until I can
track down what it is that caused the OSX partition to fail,
I've been reading over a lot of strange reports about iTunes
4.5 over at the Apple discussions.

I'm not sure if it's related or not but some other people
have had some strange system wide problems after
updating their iTunes.

I'd be speculating as to what the combination is that's
causing so much grief.

I'm sure that OSX 10.2.8 is safe in all, But just in case...I'll
leave as it is until Quicktime gets beyond a compatibility of
OSX 10.2.6, At the moment the newest upgrade of
Quicktime is compatible with OSX 10.2.6.

I have OSX 10.2.8 on my laptop and it's seems to be fine.

??? Latest Quicktime(6.5.1) is compatible with 10.3.3...
I had 10.2.8 on my Beige from the time it was out, installed 10.2.8 on many other Beiges (and other Macs) without any issues, and have installed Panther on a few Beiges, Wallstreets and other "unsupported machines", with latest updates of Quicktime(and iTunes) as well.
