I have lots of old 60-120 min 8mm tape I want to import for work in FC. Is there a cost effective device ~$200 that one can buy to make this task a little easier?

I have seen devices from Dazzle, but I am not sure that I trust them. Pyro and Pinnacle make these too.

This looks pretty good: Canopus ADVC55

Any of you folks have experience with these solutions? Opinions are sought and welcomed.

I'm using a Formac Studio with built in TV. Formac's software is crap but the program Vidi works well as it offers a floating control palette to set contrast, brightness, etc. before committing yourself to a capture. Works good in both imovie and FCE. Still have to extract sound in imovie to use it, though.

The Canopus is our choice. There are problems with Dazzle.
Mnay digiCams also have conversion.

I purchased the Canopus ADVC100 and it just plain works.
This was after asking the same questions and hearing the same answers.
