I have hinted at this prob before, but this is a formal call for help...

If I run my finger on my PB12 microphone (small hole above the F1 key), I get a full scratchy sound through the speakers. In other words, the mike is running full blast and of course feeds back into the speakers creating a can-like sound for any app (e.g. iTunes) + larsen in many instances.

I tried to play with all the configurations on my Preferences, to no avail. I wonder if it is similar to Pamela's problem: I also get a certain amount of echo on the iSight (solved using headphones).

Any suggestions? Anything I can reset/reinstall? (current is 10.3.2)

I have done a hardware test but mike/speakers are not covered by the tests.
