Hello, I just got my 6500/250 running 8.6, back up and running, I have tried to connect it to the intnernet, and with no luck, in the system profiler it says the modem is not supported, how can that be it's a apple modem running an apple system in an Apple? is there any thing i can do to fix this?

You have to go to the Modem control panel and select your internal modem there.

In the modem control panel there should be another selection box in the setup area to choose your modem.

Check with the Apple site to see if they have separate modem software for your machine. Otherwise, you may have to try to reinstall the OS.

Also check to make sure that the internal modem cable is properly attached to the motherboard.
