Hi group !
I want to install a printer that resides on the office network. I can't seem to be able to locate its name in the Printer Center's printer model list. Here's the set up:
- Canon is i9100 connected to a PC via USB
- Printer is shared by that PC via SMB (I was told to mention !?)
- My TiBook connects to the network wirelessly (Airport to Linksys)
- I have OS 10.3.2 installed.
When I want to "Add" the printer from Print Center, I can locate the Canon via the Windows Printing pull down (I see all available nodes of the network and can easily navigate to the Canon printer to select it).
Problem occurs when I want to associate to it the proper printer model. I don't see the name of the printer in the list that pops up. I did install Panther in Full Install mode. I even tried reinstalling the Canon BJ drivers from a file I picked up on the Canon Web site that is relevant to the i9100. In both cases, I did restart.
Does the i9100 have another name? Can I use another driver instead? Anything else I should try?
Thanks for your help.
