All was generally well in the sound dpt, but over the past couple of weeks I have been getting a very 'tin-like' sound from my PowerBook in general and continuous 'larsen-like' shrill feedback thhrough the speakers. Sometimes the machine is just 'on' and it will start wisthling by itself. At present it is also very hard to simply listen to a DVD as the feedback forces you to turn the volume quite low.
I tried to set up the mike level right down, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Any ideas? Any software resets or hardware tests?
Thanks
