10.2.8 just messed up my powerbook and now i can't even have it run more that 5 min before i get a "running on reserve power" warning. I can't even switch on my computer unless it's plugged into the AC....WHAT'S UP WITH THAT??............. n-e-one??
Make sure you have everything important backed up then try an Archive and Install from your Jag CD. You can then go back up to 10.2.6 using 10.2.6 combo
First thing, if you didn't repair permissions from the Disk Utility after updating, do so.
If you did the update through the Software Update utility, download the stand alone updater from Apple and install it.
These two things may work...if they apply to you.

...ok now i have no clue as to why this is happening...NEW Battery worked great for like 3days...Last night i was workin' on my laptop...and i let the batt' drain as usual...i got that " running on reserve power" warning...plugged it in 'n carried on working for like 2 -3 hr then went to bed.
... got up this morning and looked at da batt status...
Show Time - Calcualting... Show Percent - 5%
taz' been like that since.
DA BATT' IS NOT CHARGING..... DOES 10.2.8 KILL batteries???
Sounds like your logic board is having problems charging your battery. Take your warranty and get it to a Service Repair Dealer - before you have to pay the $600 logic board replacement fee (if the logic board is bad).
