Are there any recommendations on the sourceforge site? If not, I would stick with a simple Lucent card...

Not used one - yet - but I was about to buy the Lucent/Orinoco/Proxim WaveLAN before finding a Apple Airport. I only sided with Apple for the fact that I could drop it IN the unit.

Neema - check if the SMC 2632Wv2 will work.
It is 802.11b standard.
If it will work for you, I have one as well as the SMC Barricade 4 port gateway/router with print server gathering dust. Thanks to Airport Extreme.
It's in perfect condition. I'll take anything reasonable for them.
