firebird database account?

So I received my new RMBP yesterday. I began the task of setting it all up to get it ready for work. After a restart it came to the login screen, but instead of my user account and guest, there was a third:

I certainly did not make this user account, and its password protected. Anyone know or hear anything about this "firebird database"? Do I need to do a clean wipe of the system and start all over again?

A couple of minutes with Google found several references to the same 'problem' as yours. Something you've installed when you were "setting it all up" resulted in the Firebird SQL database being installed. See:

Firebird: Firebird 2.5.1

Yes I eventually came to it myself, originally I was just finding database stuff, but then discovered it came when I installed a program that I use to control our Xerox machines. It did not do this with Snow Leopard, so must be something new in Lion.

Thanks

Whew.

Now, how will you get the purple markings off your display?

Maybe a good clean screen cleaning wipe cloth with a good dose of Isopropyl alcohol??

It looks like someone outlined it with a lipstick marker.

Maybe try a Google search on 'Mac boot and "firebird database" and check some of the hits like:

Turbo Bird Firebird Tool

It seems that others have encountered the same problem, and for multiple various reasons.
