cycle windows not functioning properly

Hello!

I'm running Snow Leopard on a 3.1 white MacBook, 2.2 gHz 6GB RAM.

I've been having a problem with the cycle windows command that I like to use frequently. I had this problem even on Leopard I think before I upgraded to snow leopard. If I have more than 2 or 3 windows open in a browser, when I use the cycle windows command, it nearly always cycles between only two or three windows, completely omitting the other windows that are open (and not minimized). I end up having to us exposé to see whats open and select the window I want.

What gives? Is this a common problem? Can I fix this?

I'm not sure that I understand your problem completely, but why not just click the icon in your Dock to bring that app to the front?

By "in a browser" are you referring to a web Browser?
I'm with pm-r here in not quite understanding your question.

Ok. So I'm trying to cycle windows within a single application. For example, cycling through 5 pages documents or 6 safari web browser windows. I use cmd + tab to cycle through apps and a custom shortcut (cmd + ù) to cycle through the open windows of an app (without changing apps).

It sorta works but, like I described before, if I have 6 web browser windows open, say windows A, B, C, D, E and F, when I use the cycle windows command, it'll only cycle through A, B and C, always excluding D, E, F; unless I use exposé or some other means to select the latter windows. Even once having selected windows D, E or F, once I start cycling again, it seems to start excluding the same windows again. This only happens occasionally and usually when there are more than 4 windows open in a single app.

Instead of your custom shortcut, have you tried using the built-in shortcut: cmd+~

I can't do that because I have a french canadian keyboard and the tilde requires the option key to type thus the keystroke would be (hold)cmd the option + tilde. I've actually removed the old command and remapped it in keyboard prefs to the current command + ù. Ù is an odd key to have since only one single word in the french language requires it so I put it to good use!

btw, the french canadian keyboard is a QWERTY with added accents (NOT like the French AZERTY)
