Olympics on Apple TV

Is it possible to watch the olympics on my Apple tv somehow. My set up is as follows:

I have a mac mini connected to a monitor in an office. The Mini syncs the two Apple Tvs with content over a wired connection in two different locations that are connected to LCD screens.

Is it possible to get the Olympics on those TVs somehow without changing my complete setup.

Thanks inadvance for any suggestions,

H

The AppleTV plays back content purchased from iTunes and content pre-existing in iTunes, not content streaming as it happens on TV via cable, so... no? Or am I just not comprehending your question properly?

You can record the olympics with EyeTV, then stream via iTunes.

Thanks Lars, yes you did read the question correctly. I was afraid I would get an answer along those lines. I guess I will have to come up with a different solution.

Bjornbro, that is a great idea. I will look into this solution and try and get it up and running by friday.

Thank you for the replies!

If you go with EYE TV Hybrid you can not strem live TV. You have record and stream with VLC (free download). With EYE TV 250 Plus can strem live TV.

I, too, am having trouble finding 2010 content for my appletv.

BCTV broadcast in analog and digital (over the air) but both signals were weak. They protect the 2010 content very aggressively and have never posted podcasts.

Too bad. Global and CBC broadcast stronger signals AND post podcasts but are not covering 2010.

Darn BCTV. Here's hoping someone posts some bittorrents.

Oh - I forgot to mention - they interviewed the 'tap' guy on CBC this morning (centre-stage for the opening ceremony - he did a tap routine - you remember)

Anyways, I had to laugh in empathy - he is having a similar problem - he only has PVR and hasn't been able to see his own performance yet. Cruel irony, that...

You can stream live TV with the EyeTV Hybrid just fine. I do it myself all the time.

I just got a Season Pass for CTV's Olympic Highlights on the Apple TV for only $2.99. It's number one on Apple TV / iTunes right now.

If you have EyeTV, you can even stream right to your iPhone or iPod Touch, provided you are in WiFi range.
