20% off iTunes gift cards

Not sure about elsewhere, but here in Calgary the current Future Shop flyer has $25 iTunes gift cards for $5 off.

Excellent - I'll drop by Best Buy (which is a lot closer to my house) and get them to price beat FS. Hey, it'll only be a savings of 50 cents per card, but every dime counts these days.

They won't do it because they only carry a 4-pack of $15 or $50 cards, so no "identical" item to price match with.

That's the first thing I did. Or at least tried to do. The cashier at the new Signal Hill BB was new himself and didn't know how to give me a $5.50 discount. So he and his manager found $5 off coupons and gave me the FS deal...but not the additional 50¢ off. I didn't complain. It saved me a trip across town...

To the best of my knowledge, iTunes cards do not expire. I have carried balances from gift cards for up to a year, but never much beyond that.

According to this CBC piece, several provinces have banned expiry dates on gift cards. The article explicitly lists Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta, and adds that legislation in BC and New Brunswick is pending. But given that the article is just about a year old, these latter two may already have laws in the books.

So when y'all sober up could you kindly let me know when the FS offer expires.

As noted earlier in this thread, the promo is in this week's flyer. It's reasonable to assume that the offer will expire by the end of the week. Or go to the FS site and click on the flyer to be sure.
