Anyone Tried Getting an Unlimited Data Deal with VM

Virgin Mobile offers a Unlimited Data package for $10 a month for 2 of there phones. I just emailed them saying i'm looking to activate with either them or Rogers, and am looking for the best deal. If they can give me an unlimited data pack for $10 a month like the other phones, I'll activate with them.

Anyone tried this before and was successful?

Hopefully they offer me the deal. Their prices aren't too bad for voice

Rogers doesn't offer unlimited data, so you may not have made the best comparator.

True, but if VM Data is $10 for 10mb and Rogers is $10 for 10mb. VM could give me some incentive not to go with Rogers Since they already offer unlimited data for 2 phones, my other phone wouldn't be that much of a stretch.

Anyways, we'll see. I somehow doubt they'll go for it. Worth a shot right

It uses Bells CDMA network as I recall... If so, I think Bell is offering similar deal at $7 data plan with an HTC Touch. This would be my second choice of phone after iPhone. Its only a matter of time before GSM data prices drop.

Crap, I just realized VM Canada is CDMA since it runs off Bell mobility. I read somewhere they were GSM but that must be in the UK. Darn.

Anyways, I emailed Rogers a similar email saying I can get unlimited Data on some phones for $7 or $10 at other providers and asked for a deal on unlimited data. That'd be a sweet deal.

Which phones? I can't find anything.

All I can find is $10 for 5MB, and $5 for 2MB.

Let's see if they even bother acknowledging with a response.

On the other hand, nothing bad comes from trying... (Unless they look into your account and find some discrepancy that wouldn't be noticed had you not emailed, and it costs you either lots of dough, or a couple of features)

I don't have an account with Rogers now, so they can't look into my account. I got a confirmation email saying I will receive a response within 5 days.

I highly doubt Rogers will give you the deal you ask for. Telus had an unlimited email and web package for a few phones in the summer. However, they were under explicit instructions not to use it with any type of smartphone. I offered a guy $100 cash to put it on my Treo. He wouldn't budge.

If Rogers does give you the price your looking for, let me know cause I will be calling them in an instant.
