Brand new ATV2's are worth $59 at the Apple Store, if they'll sell one to you.
Good luck getting one on the Apple Store. As the ATV3 can't be jailbroken yet, and ATV2s are otherwise unavailable, ATV2s sell regularly on Craigslist and Kijiji for $200-300. I sold my factory ATV2 a few weeks ago for $225, and had to pull the ad after a few hours I was getting so many emails.

Great news. However, I was having trouble with my ATV2 so I took it to the Apple Store and they replaced it free if charge, but the price on the receipt for inventory purposes said $59—exactly $50 less than the price of a new ATV3. Just sayin'. Fools and their money are soon parted. Why not list them on the sites you mention and see what you can get? I would never personally pay more than half for a used item what I would pay for the same item brand new.

As an active dev team member. I find the fact these are going for so much just to be jailbroken. Is ridiculous. Especially considering its mainly for piracy on the Apple TV. Jailbreaking an iOS Device IS NOT about piracy.

i'd understand if it was just a regular thread, but someone is trying to use the classified section here.
This isn't the classified section, it's the everything iOS section, and the poster was looking for feedback on the asking price. And the fact is ATV2's are worth exactly $59 at the Apple Store brand new. Jailbreaking may be a delight for some but it adds no monetary value to the device in question. But a fool and his money are soon parted, and there are plenty of fools out there. Have you tried Kijiji or eBay, BigBertha?
