Once again, the rockers are being hassled by the mods.

Up until this thread was launched, and as late as when I posted my first response in this thread earlier today, I had the ability to change a thread title as a lifetime member.
I also distinctly remember that being part of the lifetime package that I bought in good faith believing that to be true, in an earlier post by yourself Mr. Mayor.

Why has the ability suddenly been reversed?
Seems to me it is reneging, is it not?
We're talking about 2 different things:
1. Thread titles
2. User Titles
First of all.... all talk about premium memberships were about #2 - User Titles (The title under your name, like you are currently using "Resident Curmudgeon" ). Initially this was going to be for just gold members, but after discussion in this thread, I did not make this exclusive to any premium members but to all members of ehMac. (See the upgrade page beside the "Customizable User Title" section)
As far as number 1 - Thread Titles... I was mistaken in my previous post. All ehMac users who start a thread, are able to edit the title of a thread. When you're in a thread, go near the top to "Thread Tools" -> Edit Thread, where you can edit the title of a thread you created. This has not changed at all.
Let me know if you need any additional clarification or have any questions.

Sorry, I'm confused as to what the settings actually are right now for editing thread titles. All I know for now is, they haven't changed.
The setting is not controlled at a user level, but its a general setting for the whole board. Looking at it closer again, it's set to "0" which means thread titles can not be edited. (There might be a window of like 60 seconds or something after you post, not sure)
At any rate, as I said, this hasn't changed.
Anything to do with premium memberships has been about user titles.

OK, that's fine, but I still say I recall a post where you stated thread titles could be changed under certain memberships, but damned if I can find it. So for now, I have no proof. I guess I'm losing it.
May I be so bold as to ask why such a minor thing as changing a thread title is so tightly controlled? It make zero sense to me and likely others too, based on this thread.

It is common practice (and the default setting) on almost all boards and board software to not allow thread title editting or limit it to mods... General reason: continuity.
