I asked the lady at the post office and she said the seller could set condtions for what type of payment they would accept. Worst case scenario I'm hit with a 50$ shipping charge (one way on one ibook was 25$).

Hey all,
After speaking with However I realized that I never posted a conclusion to this thread. I'm really sorry about this oversight, especially troublesome given how helpful everyone on the board was, so here in a nut shell is the conclusion:

I took the advice of some people on the board and turned two defective computers into one that worked (cd drive, graphics/display, usb). In the end my gf has an ibook with a 900mhz g3 in a 600mhz case (sine updated with an airport card and more ram). After I completed this process, I put the other ibook together, similar 900 but in a 600 case, with the broken cd drive and graphics (soldering issue, tested fixable with a shim).

Throughout this entire process Salman was an incredibly horrible person to deal with. I would recommend, due to deception, shaddiness, (deals that no one can no about, etc...) and hostility that everyone stay away from this guy (who suprisingly enough works at a mac reseller/service center).

Again I would like to thank everyone who helped, I'm sure that I would have gotten nowhere without the assistance provided through this board.
