I have messaged admin of usedmac.ca about other dubious ads before, but never received a reply... perhaps if a few people here refer him to this thread?
Guys, i cannot make this any more clear. 9/10 times when a seller has no feedback; whether its on on ehmac, on ebay, or anywhere, it is going to be a scam. Only buy from people who have feedback from people you can trust unless you are able to do a face to face transaction.
I've sold a few of items here on ehMac and nobody has bothered to leave feedback... I think the better thing to do is make sure the person has contributed to this forum (posts.) Otherwise post a query to the public and see if someone has bought from that member before.

Agreed, I have sold several items here and no one left feedback and I believe there have been no problems because I have not reieived any complaints. Part of the problem is, I think, few know this feature exists. Perhaps if we made it obvious somehow, it might get used.

I backed up today (LaCies' SilverKeeper)....have you?
I find it easier to leave feedback after I receive the product if the ad is still posted,
However when the ad is deleted before I can leave feedback then I find it hard to
remember how to leave feedback, Often times I give up.

I strongly advocate that ads should not be allowed to be deleted, except by admins. I think the ability to delete one's own ads primarily serves dishonest vendors, who want to cover their tracks.

I agree wholehertedly with this.
There have been quite a few instances as well where if someone get's comments they don't want or they just want to bump the listing they just delete the ad and repost it as well. It's asking for trouble to allow people to delete their ads at will.
We should start a new thread on this for those not following this one and see what others think ...
nxnw - Unfortunately at this time PhotoPost Classifieds doesn't have this feature. You are able to stop people from editing their post but it doesn't stop from deleting the ad. Hopefully it's in the next version.

Perhaps another reason to go back to the old way, just having classifieds as another forum.
