Why Can't I Change Thread Topic?

At times it is necessary to change the topic of a thread to make it more current. Why is it that on this board the original topic starter cannot edit the thread topic?

We always could on the old board.

Darned inconvenient if you ask me!

Sinc - If you need something changed, you can PM any of the moderators and we'll try and get it done as fast as we can for you. Due to the new style each post is treated as it's own regardless of whether it's the first post or not. So the title you change is only for the post. In order to change thread titles it requires a moderator status (it's one of the options in Thread Tools if you're a moderator). Different design to say the least.

Inconvenient? Yes. When ehMax goes through his next set of upgrades I'll put it on the list of things to consider looking at.

Thanks Chealion. Sounds reasonable to me.

What if you want the title of the thread changed, because you messed something minor up?

iNeedhelp - Just PM one of the moderators and we'll see what we can do.
