Sad news indeed... it looks like his role in Inception was a situation of truth and fiction actually being very much the same. Rest in peace...

London Oscar-nominated British actor Pete Postlethwaite, described by director Steven Spielberg as the best actor in the world, has died at age 64 after a long battle with cancer.
Longtime friend and journalist Andrew Richardson said Monday that Postlethwaite died in a hospital Sunday.
A gritty and powerful actor, Postlethwaite was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the 1993 film In The Name Of The Father.
He had recently been seen in the critically acclaimed film Inception...

"The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read these books." Mark Twain
I can't remember a role he played that lacked for anything. Pete was a wonderful actor who brought great dedication to his craft.
Quote:
Steven Spielberg called Postlethwaite "the best actor in the world" after working with the actor on the The Lost World: Jurassic Park,[6] to which Postlethwaite said: "I'm sure what Spielberg actually said was, 'The thing about Pete is that he thinks he's the best actor in the world.'" (Wikipedia entry on Pete Postlethwaite)
