Camcorder help

Morning,

I am looking for a cheap camcorder for a trip to Scotland where I am competing in the WKA (World Kickboxing Championships) and want to record my fights and touristy stuff.

I am looking at the $200 range as I am not sure how much use it will ever get after the trip.

I don't need HD and am looking at these 2 models as they are at my price point.

Any thoughts?

Samsung SD / SDHC Flash Camcorder (SMX-F40) - Black - Best Buy Canada

JVC GZ-MS230BU Elegant 8GB Built-in Flash/SD Card Camcorder - Black : Camera, Photo & Video | Dell Canada

Not sure I can get this one from Henry's but I will head there shortly.

I bought a Panasonic GS90 similar a few years back and have used a great deal without problems. This one is similar:

BTW good luck with your competition. I myself once competed in martial arts competitions years ago (open circuit, mostly in western Canada).

Bought this as part of my daughters wedding gift for the honeymoon, they loved it and they were impressed with all the features and battery life. Also included the 8g SD card, taxes in - less than $200

Thanks gang! I wound up going with a Fuji S1800 camera instead. My reasoning was that it has 18x optical zoom. My Canon 1100 has 3x optical zoom and just won't cut it for pics. The camera also shoots 720p, and after a test was quite impressive. Audio not quite as good as a camcorder but I found a camera I can borrow from friends.

Thanks for the good luck!
