The big difference between a politician and any other common criminal is that; the common criminal thinks he can get away with it whereas the politician just gets a bill passed to allow him to get away with it.

Sure, since Paul Martin's ships were the prime importers of cocaine from the Colombian drug cartels. Of course, when his shipping lines was caught in the act, it was promptly snuffed out in the press, with only a handful of Global stations being able to report the incident in Sydney, NS for a period of 24 hours.

So yes, it can be the Liberal's fault, since they were the ones that have been in power the longest, and did nothing about the importation of drugs into the country. Lax laws and an even more lax justice system have lead to Canada being a prime region for the drug industry, with over 940 gangs and mafias involved in this lucrative cash industry.

Of course, the Conservatives have done diddly-doo about it either. But what can one expect when the Conservative Party are nothing but Liberal shills and wannabes that happen to wear blue suits and like hanging out in old clubs with leather wing chairs and smelly old cigar smoke that is a century old.

I don't think any of it's a joke. Jaffer is in serious trouble. I certainly hope he gets his life together, but you won't see any COnservatives defending his actions.

no it certainly isn't. However when all you hear is that the ills of society is solely the fault of leftist idealogues, you just have to take the opportunity, and point out the irony of the hypocrisy.

Yes he certainly is in trouble.

Where is the hypocrisy you speak of?

There isn't. Tories are taking this seriously. They say and mean the same thing, even when one of their own does it.
