While I think the parent is dumb for getting such a young kid to drive and filming it, I do think we go a little overboard these days with protecting our kids in vehicles. I was once told that kids nowadays are required to have child seats or booster seats until they are 7 or 8. Come on, by the time your 4, all you should need is a seat belt.
