Post Temperature Monitor over Ethernet

Hi folks,

I am looking for recommendations on a temperature monitor/sensor setup that would work over Ethernet. I would like to be able to monitor the temperature of a room remotely and be advised when the temperature varies outside of a given range. Any ideas? Looking for something relatively inexpensive.

Cheers,

RtC

If it doesn't absolutely have to be over ethernet you could try a Phidget - they work over USB (which could potentially be run over Cat5 cable).

They do look good over USB; but it must be Ethernet in my case. There is actually not going to be a computer in that particular room. Thanks thou..

So I'm not the only one. In my case would love to be able to pull hourly readings from 3 or 4 remote monitors.
